Hello! I’m Leina’ala, a product designer (& artist) based in California. I specialize in creating simple, helpful, and innovative solutions for complex design problems.

Growing up on the Big Island of Hawai’i, my love for the visual arts emerged early on. This passion led me to California College of the Arts in the Bay Area, where I studied painting and graphic design. After spending several years working in art and fashion, my desire to merge creativity with a deeper understanding of people’s needs and experiences inspired me to study product design at UC Berkeley, aiming to make a meaningful difference through design.

Over the last 5 years, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with various clients and companies, from early-stage startups to enterprise companies, using design thinking to solve business problems and instigate meaningful change in other people’s lives.  I care deeply about working with mission-driven companies that put people first, whether that is their end-users or their own employees.  I enjoy finding opportunities for clarity within complicated systems and linking research, data, and ideas to create thoughtful end-to-end experiences.
